The Fresh N Dope Collective officially invites you to participate in the very first international “Young Cats” competition! Fresh N Dope is committed to supporting the newest generation of rappers and hip hop artists by offering a world-wide songwriting and media creation competition to those beginning in the industry.

Fresh N Dope “Young Cats” will be a multi-faceted, all inclusive performance and songwriting based competition to find the best of the newest generation of rappers and hip hop artists. This competition will consist of 5 stages, all with their own unique opportunities and challenges.

Stages of the competition will include aspects of music, video, and multi-media content production with the most unique and well-crafted making it progressively further to more challenging, yet rewarding stages such as featuring on a song with acclaimed rapper WESTSIDE BOOGIE and a performance slot on an upcoming 2025 European festival.

Q: Will there be any cost to enter young cats?A: No, there will be no paywall for artists looking to enter at any stage of the competition- any money that will be spent by artists will be for music/ video production, but will be completely optional and will not go to FND or any of its partners.Q: How will the competition be judged?A: The competition will be judged from a combination of fan votes through instagram on the official FnD page along with a panel of industry professionals.Q: What are the eligibility requirements for entering?A: You must be 18 years of age, have fluency in written and spoken English, are beginners or debuting musicians, vocalists performers who want to present their work to a wider audience, and are charismatic, original, with a distinctive personalityQ: What resources or support will be provided to contestants during the competition?A: If selected to be a 2024 young cat, you will be able to rely on FND for all questions and concerns about current and future stages of the competition. yet when creating music or video material for the specified competition stage, FND will not grant any advice or financial support in an effort to remain partial to all contestants.
